After conducting the interviews, we compared our responses and sought out commonalities and differences. These were the results we came up with:
To begin with, when it came to who educated these individuals on condom use (#8), many responded that they had learned what they now know from school, or more experienced people.
Next, asked as to whether men or women would dominate to condom factory workplace (#11), to answers were evenly split.
Furthermore, when asked who should supply the condom (#15) all of those interviewed said the men should supply them, or both partners should be equally responsible. Women were never held accountable.
However, it is most important to pay attention to question #18 when it comes to Condoms and Gender. When asked if they had ever used a female condom all of the contestants answered No. A 19 year old, heterosexual female said in response,
"No, because I've never seen one...men's are just cheaper and more available I guess...and it's just weird,"
While another added,
"No, and I don't ever want to. I don't know why, I just don't understand it. It's just weird, expensive, and a hassle,"
These answers give us a strong sentiment as to how consumers feel about the gender of condoms, in regards to who/how they are marketed and what we are taught about them.
